FULL MUSIC PRODUCTION
The whole package. This includes recording, editing, and mixing services at Absolute Recording - everything you need to take your songs and turn them into professional sounding, major-label quality releases.
I’m happy to provide free estimates based on your project’s needs, budget, and scheduling requirements. Please use the submission form to get an estimate for your project or to set up a pre-booking meeting or call. If you have a budget and/or schedule in mind, please include that information as well.
MIXING
If you're recording your songs elsewhere and need professional mixing services, this is the place! I love to work with artists to fully realize the vision you have for your songs, and an experienced mixing engineer can be just the ticket for achieving a more exciting, professional-level sound for your music. All I need are your audio files on a hard-drive or via online transfer - I’ll contact you to discuss how you’d like the mixing to be handled and then you can leave the rest to me (mixing sessions can also be attended or remotely streamed if desired). Mixing services are generally charged a flat rate based on the needs of the project. All projects’ needs are different, so please contact me for a estimate.
PRE-PRODUCTION
Pre-production can be one of the most important aspects of making a great recording. The pre-production process can vary quite a bit from project to project, but it generally consists of the producer (me) working with the artists in one-on-one and/or rehearsal environment to tweak arrangements and lyrics, give advice about parts and performances, making demo recordings of the songs, and generally helping the artist to prepare for the recording process. Pre-production can be done at the studio or I can come to you. Pre-production rates are charged by the hour or by the day (8 working hours). Production packages of 6 songs or more include an optional pre-production demo session at no extra charge (contingent on availability).
ENGINEERING & GENERAL RECORDING
This includes recording session setup and tracking services. I take the utmost care to capture great sounds and performances for your music, and at Absolute Recording we have a fantastic selection of microphones, analog gear, and music equipment available for all recordings. This service is ideal for artists who have already made mixing arrangements and just need quality tracking and production. Engineering/tracking service rates are charged by the hour or by the day (8 working hours). Please contact me with details about your project for a rate estimate.
DRUM TUNING & PRODUCTION
Drum sounds can make or break a recording, and we pride ourselves on capturing some of the best live drum tones in town. If you're recording a project yourself and want great, mix-ready natural drum sounds, book some time and I’ll put my extensive experience in drum engineering and drum tuning to work for you. We can also make professional quality raw or mix-ready samples of your kit for use in mixing or other projects or arrange and program drum parts using MIDI. Session drummers are available to meet your project's needs if necessary. Please contact me with details about your project for a rate estimate. Offsite mic setup and drum tuning is also available.
AUDIO EDITING
Editing services include rhythmic drum editing, sampling, vocal tuning, and overall tightening of performances. This is ideal for artists who are producing themselves who need editing work done for their projects but don't have the time or resources to do so. Bring in your tracks and I can help you tighten and tune the performances to achieve a more polished overall sound. Please contact me for a quote as all projects' needs are different.
