I own and operate BLUElight Audio Media, a great recording studio in Phoenix, Arizona, and I offer services including music production, engineering, and mixing, as well as drum production services, editing, MIDI programming, pre-production, consulting/instruction, and mastering.

MUSIC PRODUCTION PACKAGE
The whole package. This bundle includes studio time for recording, editing, and mixing / mastering services at BLUElight Audio|Media - everything you need for professional results. We work together to take your project from a creative vision to a fully realized, professional-quality product.
Music production package prices start at $250 per day for independent artists, and the majority of projects require 2 to 3 days of studio time per song. Please contact me for an estimate as all projects' needs are different.
Music production packages also include a drum tech/setup session, and packages of six songs or more include a free pre-production session as well (subject to availability).
ENGINEERING / GENERAL RECORDING
This includes recording session setup and tracking services. I take the utmost care to capture great sounds and performances for your music - This service is ideal for artists who have already made mixing arrangements and just need quality tracking and production. Engineering/tracking service rates start at $250 per day or $50 per hour.
Pre-production can be one of the most important aspects of making a great recording. The pre-production process can vary quite a bit from project to project, but it generally consists of the producer (me) working with the artists in one-on-one and/or rehearsal environment to tweak arrangements and lyrics, give advice about parts and performances, making demo recordings of the songs, and generally helping the artist to prepare for the recording process. Pre-production can be done at the studio or I can come to you. Pre-production services are charged an hourly or per-day rate depending on your project's needs. Rates start at $250 per day or $50 per hour. Production packages of 6 songs or more include a free pre-production demo session.
If you've already recorded your songs elsewhere and need professional mixing services, bring them in! I love to work with artists to fully realize the vision you have for your songs, and an experienced mixing engineer can be just the ticket for achieving a more exciting, professional-level sound for your music. All I need are your audio files on DVD or hard-drive, and after a meeting to discuss what you're looking for you can leave the rest to me. I also offer à la carte mastering services if needed. Mixing services (and mastering if needed) are charged a flat rate based on the needs of the project. Please contact me for a quote as all projects' needs are different.
Drum sounds can make or break a recording, and we pride ourselves on capturing some of the best drum tones in town. If you're recording a project yourself and want great, mix-ready natural drum sounds, book a day or two and we'll put our experience to work for you. We can also make professional quality raw or mix-ready samples of your kit for use in mixing or other projects or arrange and program drum parts using MIDI. Session drummers and drum techs are available to meet your project's needs if necessary. Drum tracking sessions start at $250/day or $50/hour.
Editing services include rhythmic drum editing, sampling, vocal tuning, and overall tightening of performances. This is ideal for artists who are producing themselves who need editing work done for their projects but don't have the time or resources to do so. Bring in your tracks and I can help you tighten and tune the performances to achieve a more polished overall sound. Please contact me for a quote as all projects' needs are different.
CONSULTING / INSTRUCTION
On top of producing, engineering, and mixing, I offer consultation and instruction services. This is ideal if you are self-producing your project, just getting into recording, trying to learn Pro Tools or audio engineering, or just need some outside perspective on your project. Need help getting drum or guitar sounds? Having trouble with Pro Tools? Want to learn how to better utilize effects processing or tune a vocal track? Need advice on a mixdown? Message me about consulting services and I'll be happy to help. Consultation services are charged $50 per hour.
the studio - blueLIGHT AUDIO|MEDIA
My recording studio, BLUElight Audio Media, is a great space that I use for projects that I produce, engineer, mix, and/or master. Though I'm always available for freelance work in other facilities, BLUElight is home to the vast majority of the projects I work on. If you'd like to swing by to check out the studio and discuss your project, feel free to send me a message.
The studio is based around an Avid Pro Tools HD recording system, with an analog front end consisting of outboard gear by the likes of API, Universal Audio, A Designs, Focusrite, Vintech, and more, with Focal Twin 6bes and Avantone Mixcubes for monitoring. Getting the source sounding great is my top priority, and to that end I've put together a collection of truly excellent microphones and a selection of great amps, drums, pedals, and more that are available for use on all projects. The gear list is always changing and evolving to suit the needs of artists as well as my own, so please send a message if you have any questions. It's a great place for recording music and I'm really happy with the sounds this space has been turning out.
Want to come by the studio to discuss your project and check out the space? Message me and we can set up a time - pre-project consultations are always no-obligation and completely free.
